5/04/2006Australian OE # 05Australian OE # 05: Rollers Each state has their own police force in Australia. This is a Victorian cop car. It's pretty gay isn't it? And I mean that in a bad way. Doesn't exactly inspire fear and respect. After the Kiwi version it looks like you've got a checkered table cloth chasing you! (not that I'd know about that...) See if I can find a Tasmanian cop car pic to blog soon. Their cars look like panthers.
Comments:
Rich, hwy have you used the word 'gay' to describe this car? Is it a homosexual car? and dont even try to say is gay "like happy" but not because we dont use gay in that context anymore.
As a liberal I would expect you to not use that kind of language in this situation.
As a liberal I'm concerned for looking out for everyone's rights, never matter their race, color, gender, sex, religion,...or whatever. But being liberal doesn't instruct the language I use or my personal preferences- of which this matter is the subject.
The car is gay. I'm saying it has a gay aesthetic and that I don't like that style. I can hardly imagine you're interested in exploring my personal preferences, less still my liberty to express them. Right?
Yes, that's an improvement. But I've got a better picture even yet...
And the blog template has spontaniously imploded again?! What the hell man.
I think I figured out how the template gets munted. Ed did it.
If you want to ruin this blog then write a long line without spaces in it. Reckon I've fixed it now. Ed said... image That appears to be some kind of Taswegian policing vehicle.
Seems to me, Pam, that the wannabe critics have reached for their gun of criticism and found their holster empty.
